FIFA Soccer 09 lets you join clubs, go 10-on-10, and download a demo

EA Sports' most popular global gaming series, FIFA, has just revealed a new online mode in FIFA Soccer 09 that will give players the ability to create guilds clubs, and to engage in 10 v 10 Online Team Play matches.  Yep, that's up to 20 people on 20 different consoles in 20 different countries, if you can swing that (FIFA 09 is translated into 17 languages across 37 countries, so the opportunity exists).

Also, a demo will be available tomorrow (Thursday, September 11th) at the Playstation Store, Xbox Live Marketplace, and for PC at FIFA09.ea.com, Football World, and the EA Store.  The demo let's you suit up as Chelsea, AC Milan, Schalke 04, Olympique de Marseille, Real Madrid, or Toronto FC (MLS) to play an exhibition match, and to practice basic or advanced techniques in the Arena.

FIFA Soccer 09 Demo Available For Download Beginning September 11

 

 

EA SPORTS today revealed a new online mode called FIFA 09 Clubs, designed for PLAYSTATION 3 and XBOX 360, that enables gamers to form or join user-controlled ‘clubs’ anywhere in the world. Through FIFA 09 Clubs, gamers can form or join clubs of up to 50 friends and field their strongest team when competing in Be A Pro: 10 v 10 Online Team Play, a feature that enables 20 people on 20 different consoles anywhere in the world to connect online to play a single match of FIFA Soccer 09.

 

FIFA 09 Clubs will determine the best virtual team in the world. Clubs are ranked based on total points and placed in a division. Clubs are relegated and promoted to different divisions based on their performance during the season. In addition, FIFA 09 Clubs will enable Club Managers to scout rival players to identify a player that fits his or her squad, and then recruit them to join their club. Up to 10 players on a Club can participate in a single game and Clubs are able to play multiple games simultaneously if they wish.

 

A full playable demo of FIFA Soccer 09 for the PLAYSTATION3 will be available for downloadable at the PLAYSTATION Store, for the Xbox 360 on Xbox Live Marketplace and for the PC at www.FIFA09.ea.com, Football World (www.easportsfootball.com) and the EA Store (eastore.ea.com) as of September 11.
