Conspiracy Entertainment announced that PC players won't be the only SBK: Superbike World Championship winners.  The shiny, wet motorcycle racer is now coming to consoles, too, somehow thanks to US distribution from Black Bean.  "We're really excited to be bringing SBK to the US market with Conspiracy Entertainment..." said David Pain, General Manager of Black Bean.  I'm not 100 percent positive why Black Bean's services were called in, since Conspiracy is (according to their company bio) based in Santa Monica, California.

Conspiracy Entertainment Bringing SBK: Superbike World Championship to Consoles

August 5, 2008 - Conspiracy Entertainment today announced that it has signed a deal with Black Bean to publish "SBK: Superbike World Championship" - an exciting new motorsports title set for release this fall. Currently a top-selling title in European markets, "SBK: World Superbike Championship" will arrive in North American retail in October for PC, next-generation consoles and handhelds and feature fully licensed tracks, riders, parts, accessories and motorcycles all rendered with incredible visual fidelity. More information about "SBK: World Superbike Championship" is available at http://www.sbkthegame.com.

"SBK: Superbike World Championship" is the officially licensed game of the HANNspree Superbike World Championship and features the official teams, riders and tracks of the current WSBK Championship. The game aims to appeal to motorsports simulation veterans, hardcore gamers and arcade-racing fans by offering both simulation modes and jump-in-and-play arcade modes.

SBK's fast-paced arcade mode allows casual players to jump straight in and challenge the WSBK official teams and riders in a range of weather conditions and on some of the most famous tracks around the world - including Phillip Island (Australia), Monza (Italy), Donington (UK) and for the first time in the series, Miller Motorsports Park (Salt Lake City, USA). Players may also jump online to enjoy eight-player races on all the game's professional circuits and tracks.

For the true motorsports enthusiast, SBK offers unparalleled realism in the modeling and the handling of the bikes. Players will be able to tune and set up their bike in a myriad of ways, including suspension, gearing, tires and braking. All these tuning settings will need to be optimized as the player progresses through each race event and as the conditions change from race-to-race throughout the championship series.

As a testament to the game's realism, after playing a pre-release version to train for races on the Miller track, Regis Laconi of the Kawasaki PSG-1 team commented, "I don't know the circuit so I'm waiting to be there and get as much information as possible……I played with the SBK videogame from Black Bean and it helped. Now I can say I know where the bends are."

"We're really excited to be bringing SBK to the US market with Conspiracy Entertainment at a time when the race series is becoming more widely known in North America," said David Pain, General Manager of Black Bean. "It is a truly great game for bike fans and for racing gamers in general looking for a new challenge."

Marco Hüsges, Executive Vice President of Conspiracy Entertainment Corporation said, "Conspiracy is very pleased to do business with eminent international partners such as Black Bean. This agreement with Black Bean provides us the opportunity to take a wildly successful international release and establish a US market from the very beginning."
