Some of the most unsung heroes in videogame development are the concept artists. While everything you see on the screen has been touched in some way by a concept artist, rarely does a game's success or failing ever lie on their shoulders. Despite that, Daniel Lieske, Visual Artist for
Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, gets some
much-deserved face time with IGN. Publisher CDV also handed IGN a gameplay video exlusive depicting the
meat-and-potatoes warrior, the Shadow Knight, roughing up the undead citizenry of a cold, stony castle. While the Shadow Knight was my character of choice at the
CDV Editors Day '08 last month, the castle is an area that I hadn't caught during my
extensive hands-on time with
Sacred 2.
