I don't think there's any doubt that E3 is still one of the more important gaming events of the year. Sure it's not the spectacle we used to get but it does look like we are going to get some significant announcements this week and there's no shortage of great games to look at. It is odd to have the event back at the LA Convention Center though as it's a big of a reminder of what used to go down. The convention center is no longer adorned in giant banners promoting gamers or platforms, the hallways which used to hum with activity before the show are fairly quiet, and there's no real buzz in the air (something you could feel from the gamers at LAX when you got off the plane).
I'm already setup at the hotel and getting ready to head out to scout out the convention center a little bit before the Microsoft press conference this morning. After the jump are a few pictures of the Microsoft setup as well as a sneaky shot of the area where the "show floor" is.
