It looks like a few gamers are sick and fed up that EA has a
monopoly on NFL games and have sued the NFL over the Madden franchise. Like a lot of people I miss the NFL2K series of games but the problem with this lawsuit is not that EA has a monopoly but that the NFL is the party that went looking to secure a single provider for their games. That's like suing Activision because they have a monopoly on Tony Hawk games or Ubisoft for Tom Clancy games. Yes it sucks that it happens but EA was just in the right position at the right time and this suit will probably end up getting dismissed.
