Here's a
story I ran into saying that Blu-Ray players may not dominate for years to come. Yeah, the players are still expensive and the movies command a premium over DVDs so that's going to turn off a lot of people. Even with my spanking new 120HZ LCD TV, I've yet to make one Blu-Ray movie purchase which is a little depressing for me. Perhaps when Batman Begins comes out, I'll make that my first BR purchase. I haven't even watched a movie from start to finish on my PlayStation 3. You know what's funny though? If HD DVD won, I'd probably would have bought a player and a few movies by now. Why? Cause it players were cheap and the specs weren't constantly being updated so the hardware wouldn't become obsolete. Also, the thing would've worked with my IR remote instead of the way the PS3's Bluetooth only remote option. Now that I think about it, I've bought more HD DVD discs than Blu-Ray discs since the HD DVD one were dual formats allowing me to play the movie on regular DVDs as well.
