It looks like Turbine is the EA Sports for Lord of the Rings MMO's as they've signed an agreement with Tolkien Enterprises to be the exclusive developer of Lord of the Ring and Hobbit MMO's through 2014. I know the reactions to The Lord of the Rings Online have been pretty positive so this isn't too much of a surprise. It will be interesting to see if they can ever gain any traction on World of Warcraft or if they are content to work their niche.
