Hitman World of Assassination isn't an entirely new game from the ground up, rather a repackage and remaster of Hitman 1, 2 and 3. However, the fact that it is coming out in VR should more than tell you this isn't just some simple or lazy port. It's more of a "best of" game sticking together 22 locations and 100 weapons. It's been playable on console or PC in non-virtual form for nearly two years but the VR upgrade will add a specific layer of VR immersion such as lock-picking, ambidextrous weapon handling and reloading, as well as franchise mainstays like environmental distractions and fancy dress into disguises. So if you want to dual-wield a baseball and a soda can, this is the game for you.
Hitman World of Assassination releases to PS VR2 on March 27th. If you already own the game on PS5 there is an upgrade pack to the VR content for $10. New players can just pick up the Hitman World of Assassination Part One – VR2 Edition bundle, opening access to Hitman Part One and the PS VR2 Upgrade Pack for $40.
