I'm sorry, can we just LIST the things that intrigue me about Spilled?
Number one, it was created by a female developer, Lente. Number two, it's a cozy game about the importance of a cleaner earth. Number three, the more you clean, the more aquatic wildlife you discover and rescue. Number four, Lente actually lives on a boat, which is an adorable example of life imitating art. I could probably keep going, but you want to learn about the game, huh?
Spilled! is a short satisfying indie game created by Lente, a solo game developer. In her debut commercial game, Lente takes the players on a journey as they simulate boat captains cleaning up oil spills and litter. The more water you clean, the more rewards you receive, and the more you can upgrade your boat to achieve greater success.
This is a tiny game, with 8 areas to clean, with no time limits, so it can take as long or as short as the player wants, which is perfect for those who just need a short break from the mainland.
Spilled! is floating onto Steam on March 26th - check out the trailer here:
