Digital Eclipse is keeping your physical media dreams alive with a trifecta of releases for their Gold Master Series. The Making of Karateka, Llamasoft, and Tetris Forever are all getting the physical treatment, with preorders starting February 25th. Nintendo Switch, and Playstation 5 will see standard editions for each title at $34.99(USD) a piece. The deluxe editions get a little more pricey.
The physical versions get special packaging and all sorts of nostalgia. Llamasoft gets a box that looks like a stack of 3.5 discs, the original soundtrack, some light diffraction glasses and even a cassette tape insert. Karateka gets you a special disk drive box, a booklet titled "Jordan's Journals", a poster, and the original soundtrack on CD. These are both $69.99.
Tetris Forever goes all the way out. The original soundtrack on CD, a Tetrimino box, a poster, tetrimino magnets, and a whole handheld with the Famicom version of Tetris, and Tetris 2: Bombliss. This one sells for $140, probably for that handheld alone.
You will be able to preorder these at LimitedRungames.com, Atari.com, or even Amazon. I might need to dig in the magic bag to see if I can do an unboxing video for the people.
