Streets of Rage developer Lizardcube is going to be behind the new Shinobi game, and it looks phenomenal. Shinobi: Art of Vengeance was announced today during the State of Play broadcast. It promises multiple paths, and smooth gameplay. The side scrolling adventure stars titular character Joe Musashi, and shows off some of the flashy moves the ninja is known for. Check the amazing trailer below, and look for it in August for practically everything. Looks like I gotta break out some Shadow Dancer.
The game will release for $29.99 in August. There will be a digital deluxe edition that will come with a ghost outfit, a medic lite amulet, and in game currency. It also comes with a digital art book + soundtrack. Later in 2026, a Sega Villains stage will be added, featuring bosses based on older Sega titles. If you preorder the game, you get a 10% discount, and two more outfits. There will be a physical edition, but that doesn't come with the goodies.
