Atomfall is an upcoming survival action game from Rebellion, the folks behind the Sniper Elite series, that takes the studio in a new and exciting direction. In a new trailer released today, the developer has shown us more of the world of Atomfall, which is set in northern England five years after a nuclear disaster. As befits the setting, players will encounter open moors, rugged hills, dense woodlands, and even a cozy village called Wyndham. It all looks beautiful, until the fish start attacking you, or you encounter a band of crazed cultists on the road. That’s the dichotomy of Atomfall’s world – a once splendid slice of English countryside now home to a variety of things trying to kill you.
As you explore the nuclear quarantine zone, you will interact with a cast of quirky characters – some good, some bad – and sometimes these interactions are a matter of life and death, as it is not always clear who can be trusted. But making the right choices can also lead to the discovery of secrets and other leads about what happened to the world.
