THQ Nordic and developer Bugbear have announced that demolition derby-style racing game Wreckfest 2 is releasing into Early Access for PC on March 20th. It features an overhauled physics engine to make crashes and vehicular destruction even more spectacular than before, as well as a revamped career mode, and skill-based matchmaking for online multiplayer. On the vehicle front, cars will be fully customizable with more armor, components, and customization items being added throughout Early Access.
As a console player, it’s not quite the news I was hoping for, but it does mean that we are one step closer to Wreckfest 2’s full launch, which is expected later in 2025 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
