South of Midnight releases day one on Gamepass, don't read the comments

More On: South of Midnight

So there was a few things I didn't know the first time I saw a preview of South of Midnight. I didn't pay attention to the fact that it was done by the same studio that did We happy Few, which is Compulsion Games. The game takes place in Deep SOuth America, and your protagonist is a woman named Hazel. Your mother, preparing for a natural disaster, has been carried away in her home, and it's up to you to find her. Hazel becomes something called a weaver, and with the weaver abilities, she can defeat, and sometimes "subdue", the creatures in her way. Why was she chosen? Where did these powers come from? It's all in the game.

What I also didn't know, is while this game is day one On Game Pass, it's only $39.99 USD, and if you get it on Game Pass, you can net the deluxe version for only $10. The deluxe version nets you an Artbook, the original soundtrack by Oliver Deriviere, a comic book by Rob Guillory, a music video titled Songs and Tales of South of Midnight, and a whole documentary! They showed a nice introduction to the game on the developer direct the other day, and between the stop motion cut scenes, and the action scenes, it's looking pretty intriguing. But hey, the last time I reviewed a game with a female protagonist, the internet went nuts. So yeah, look for this one soon. Just...don't read the comments. More toxic than a Britney Spears song.
