No, this isn’t a Killer Instinct crossover, but it sure looks like it! The next DLC character to hit Mortal Kombat 1 will be Conan the Barbarian (and not Tusk from KI), and he is launching next week, Netherrealm Studios has finally dated when Arnold’s historic character will hit the game and it happens to be January 21, 2025.
Conan is the next member of the roster stemming from the game’s Khaos Reigns expansion. He is available with the Khaos Reigns Expansion, Bundle, and Kollection; whichever of these versions that you purchased, you will get access to him starting next week.
The developer has released a new trailer for the buff-barbarian, showing off his moveset and one of his fatalities. I am usually a bit skeptical of these movie-crossover characters, but Conan really seems to fit into the game quite well. I love that they’re grounding him as a true physical brawler, with a lot of focus on strong swordplay. Plus, that fatality may be one of my favorites from the new game!
Now, we have just the T-1000 to go…
