CES 2025: GeForce Now coming to the Steam Deck

I do some streaming of games to my Steam Deck at times when I consider a game that won't run well on the mobile device would give me a better experience by streaming it from my more powerful PC. I've used Steam Link, which is native to the Steam Deck, but there's also another option that will soon be available.

GeForce Now, NVIDIA's game stream solution, will soon have a native app for the Steam Deck thus allowing gamers to play some of their games using NVIDIA's servers. I've used the service a few times and it's done pretty well as long as I had a solid Internet connection.

It's a great option for the Steam Deck it's made for gaming on the go and if you want to play a game that needs a more powerful machine, streaming it via GeForce Now could provide that smooth gaming experience for that particular game.

If you hook the Steam Deck up to a TV, you can take advantage of the 4K 60 FPS with HDR that wouldn't be available should you just play on the Steam Deck's screen. That's one thing playing on GeForce Now brings that could appeal to some who have a setup that can display that high of a resolution.

No date yet, but hopefully we won't have to wait to long to have a native install of GeForce Now on the Steam Deck.
