Developer Sharkmob is gearing up for early 2025 playtests of its PvPvE tactical extraction shooter Exoborne. As part of the ramp up to release, the studio has shared the first entry in a “Dev Talks” video series. The first video clocks in just under five minutes and provides a great overview of the game, its systems, and NPC factions.
In Exoborne, you play as a Reborn in a post-apocalyptic world devastated by manmade natural disasters at the hands of an enemy faction called Rebirth. As you explore the fictional location of Colton County looking for loot you will encounter both AI enemies and other human players trying to do the same. Your Exo-Rig is your lifeline, especially when dealing with Exoborne’s massive storms and tornadoes that can alter the map as you play. Your rig can be modified with various upgrades and mods, allowing you to build a loadout to fit your personal tactics.
