Former Battlefield series chief visual effects director Gustav Hagerling has announced that real-time strategy tower defense game IDUN – Frontline Survival is launching on January 20th for PC. IDUN features both a story-driven campaign and scenario-based challenge modes, with players needing to survive hordes of sophisticated AI enemies long enough to extract resources from the planet.
IDUN also features full destructible terrain and advanced AI pathfinding to challenge your skills as a strategist and defender. The resources you extract on missions are used to purchase permanent technology upgrades which unlock more tools, turrets, and combat units.
This looks sick, and I’m hoping the fact that its Steam page lists full controller support means it will run well on my Steam Deck. If your interest is piqued, a free demo is available right now on Steam.
