For those who enjoy using AR glasses, a separate device can sometimes be of good use. Instead of using my phone and using the battery on it, a separate media dedicated device can be helpful and convenient. VITURE initially had one when they launched their AR glasses in the Neckband. It was unique, yet had some limitations that made me not use it that much.
Well today, the Neckband Pro is now available for order and it looks to correct a lot of the things I found to limit the original one's usefulness. First off, it's now a Google certified device, so we should have full resolution Netflix among other streaming services now. You'll now be able to install apps from the Google Play Store easily and run it on the Neckband Pro.
Multiple screen support will let you have more than one app running. So if you want to check email while watching something at the same time, you can do so with the Neckband Pro.
One of the things I really miss from the Xreal glasses is smooth follow and it looks like you'll be able to do it with the Neckband Pro. 3DoF support is also built in when using the VITURE glasses with the Neckband Pro.
VITURE also touts their new AI assistant named Vizard and their hand tracking feature utilizing a camera on the end of the Neckband Pro. We will have to see how well these work when we get our hands on one.
For those wondering, the old charging case should work with Neckband Pro, but I've heard there's a new charging case coming later.
The Neckband Pro comes in two versions that you can order now. For $299, you can grab one that features 8GB of ram and 128GB of storage. $399 bumps you up to the 12GB of ram and 256GB of storage. The first batches ship in late December with another batch shipping in January.
