Publisher Dear Villagers and developer Sunny Syrup Studio have released 2D hack-and-slash adventure game Spirit Mancer for PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. The standard edition is available now for $19.99, or a Demon Hunter Edition for $29.99 which includes some exclusive in-game goodies.
In Spirit Mancer, players are modern-day demon hunters battling hordes of demons as you try to stop the evil queen of Ars Goetia. Playable solo or in local co-op for two players, you will wreck the demon scourge with a variety of weapons, guns, and spirits from your card deck. That’s correct – Spirit Mancer blends deckbuilding Pokemon-like elements with slick hack-and-slash combat. As you battle demons, you can capture their spirits and summon them into battle later, or purchase spirit cards at the town hub. You can also engage in minigames in town, if you’re looking for a break, including fishing, planting trees, or going on a date.
