BlackMill Games marches on with its post-launch support of Isonzo, the latest game in its WWI first-person shooter series, adding a new map and limited-time game mode, which are both available right now. The new map is Adamello, which takes players to an elevation of 9,800 feet in the Adamello-Presanella Alps. Naturally, at that altitude you will be contending with snow, high-winds, and freezing temperatures in a fight for map dominance. In addition to the new map, two new weapons have been added as well: the Artillery Luger for the German Empire, and the Petardo Offensive Grenade for the Kingdom of Italy. But perhaps the coolest part of the new update is a limited-time game mode called Ascent, which sees attacking players scaling a rock face while defenders drop boulders on their heads.
The Adamello update looks like a great time, so I'll be popping back in to Isonzo for another go. You can too, as both Steam and PlayStation will get free play weekends from November 14th through November 18th (so right now) where you can download the game and check it out at no cost to you. Isonzo is also included on Xbox Game Pass.
