Well this was quite the surprise. Announced out of nowhere, Death Stranding: Director's Cut is now available on Xbox Series X and Windows PC.
In even better news, announced via the website automaton media, it was announced that KOJIMA Productions now owns the rights to the Death Stranding IP. Anytime artists and their studios can retain ownership of the IPs they create is a massive win for both the artist and fans of their work.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is scheduled to be release in 2025 for PS5 but there is no word yet if the news about KOJIMA Productions retaining ownership of the IP will mean that it will arrive on the Xbox and Windows PC at the same time.
