The holiday gaming season just got a little more exciting, as simulation specialists Aerosoft announced today that Highway Police Simulator is launching December 5th for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The open-world sim features a single-player campaign with both story-based and free-play missions which will see players take on highway patrols, crime scene investigations, and high-speed car chases, among other duties as assigned.
While serving as a patrol officer, you can expect to drive and pilot authentic police vehicles, including cruisers, helicopters, and motorcycles. I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to finally live out my CHiPs fantasy, even virtually. Highway Police Simulator has a morality system as well, which is an interesting role-playing element that we don’t typically see in sim games. Your actions as either a good cop or bad cop will affect the story’s outcome in addition to the world around you, which could be an interesting twist for the genre.
