Hades II is the hotly anticipated follow up to the near perfect original. The full game isn't expected to release until sometime in 2025, but Early Access has been available on PC for the past few months. And that Early Access version just got it's first major update, The Olympic Update. The full patch notes are on Steam (or available for a dramatic reading on YouTube if you have half an hour to spare), but brings a new weapon, region, familiar, characters, abilities, boons, foes, special encounters, art, voices, music, special effects... Basically it's a huge step in the game's path from Early Access to being a fully fleshed out title ready for general release.
As the patch quote suggests, this update is getting after that fire:
'The more he watched over and mingled with his creation, the more Prometheus became convinced that fire was exactly what they needed. And he knew where to find it.'~Mythos: The Greek Myths Reimagined (S. Fry)
There's still a aways to go before Hades II finally releases for realsies, and I have only just enough patience to wait that out. If you, however, don't share that sentiment, it's in Early Access on both Steam and in the Epic Games Store.
