More On: Astro A50 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset + Base Station

I don't think we've done any Astro gaming headset reviews here, but I've always heard good things about them. Today at Logi PLAY, Logitech is adding to that lineup with their new Logitech G Astro A50 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset + Base Station (Phew!).

The headset looks to improve on their A50 X Wireless Gaming Headset introduced almost a year ago. The Astro A50 LIGHTSPEED has 40mm PRO-G graphene drivers and can connect three different sources. So if you do have a few consoles and a PC laying around, you could connect all of them to the base station and switch between the three making it pretty convenient for multi-source setups.

At 24 hours of continuous operation, the Astro A50 LIGHTSPEED should offer up plenty of gaming time between charging and there some nice magnets in there to pull the headphones in to dock with ease.

For those that would also like to connect these to a mobile device, the Astro A50 LIGHTSPEED does feature Bluetooth connectivity so you can listen to your phone for example with these cans. Of course, the best way to connect to your gaming devices will be the LIGHTSPEED wireless connection for a high quality and low latency connection.

Communication is done via a rotational omnidirectional mic that you can swing out of the way when not in use. Frequency response on the mic ranges from 60Hz to 20,000Hz sampling at 16-bit 48kHz.

You'll have a choice of white or black. Pricing comes in at $300 and hopefully we can grab one to review to compare with some of our favorite gaming headsets we've looked at here.
