We’re about six weeks away from the release of highly anticipated RPG Dragon Age: The Veilguard, which means that developer BioWare is keeping the flow of new information about the game steady. Today, we have received a new look at the world of Thedas and the locations you will be exploring, as well as flyover videos of each one.
You can expect your adventure playing as Rook to take you through diverse environments, including the Arlathan Forest, Hossberg Wetlands, Minrathous, Rivain, and Treviso – some of which are locations that have been present in the lore of past Dragon Age games, but never seen before. Additionally, a hub known as The Lighthouse will be the place for your version of Rook to rest, get to know your companions, pick up bits of lore, and more. The Crossroads will be your connection and fast travel point to each of the game’s locations, in addition to providing opportunities to embark on a side quest or two – or three. One cool feature of The Lighthouse is that each companion will decorate their personal room to their own liking as the story progresses. You may also see companions not in your active party out in the world doing their own thing, which is also a neat touch.
You can check out all the flyover videos in a new blog post on the EA website or read the blog in its entirety. Just beware of some minor spoilers for the game. Dragon Age: The Veilguard has a spooky launch date of October 31st for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
