The Wrestling Code is a professional wrestling game that was announced four years ago in 2020 but we haven't really seen much from it since then. What is really impressive about this game is the roster. Sporting a massive roster of over 100 wrestlers including Buff Bagwell, Daffney, Gangrel, Gilberg, Justin Credible, Jazz, Kurt Angle, Raven, Sabu and the list goes on and on and on.
We got some small behind the scenes snippets of motion capturing sessions and some roster reveals but we haven't really seen any in game footage. Today however we got a reveal for another wrestler being added to the game along with in game footage. indy star Chris Danger (DenkOps on Youtube) will be joining the roster and we got to see his full entrance plus some in ring action for the first time.
I am extremely impressed after seeing this. For a non licensed wrestling game the graphics look great as does Chris Danger's entrance. But most of all the in ring gameplay is looking very smooth and those animations are looking very good. Just from this brief showcase of gameplay I am very optimistic for the full release of this game. As a huge fan of wrestling games it is so amazing to see the genre in a very healthy state and there being many alternatives being released along side the WWE 2K games.
No release date yet but The Wrestling Code is scheduled to be released on PS5, Series X and PC.
