The folks at Bossa Games took to the Future Games Show yesterday to show off the first look at gameplay from their upcoming open-world co-op survival adventure game, Lost Skies. First and foremost, this isn’t another hardcore survival game, with Bossa describing it as “survival-lite”, where the game’s survival elements are not grindy, instead serving to increase the thrill of discovery. Your base of operations is a flying boat known as the Sky Ship, which you can take with you as you explore amongst the clouds.
Speaking of clouds, you can para-glide across the sky, as well as grapple hook swing around Spider-Man-style. The traversal in Lost Skies looks seriously fun. The game can be played solo, but co-op play and its collaboration is the real meat and potatoes. When you’re not exploring ruins, fighting creatures, or collecting strange technology, you can spend time with Lost Skies’ island creator tools to build structures for you and other players. You really should just see it in motion in the new trailer below.
