The free-to-play FPS formerly known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops is dropping the subtitle and henceforth will be titled simply, Delta Force. The change was announced during Gamescom this week, as was the news that Delta Force will launch as an Early Access title on PC in the fourth quarter of this year, though it is not clear if that is calendar year Q4 or fiscal year Q4 – the two don’t typically align for corporations. Additionally, the tactical shooter will be taking part in the October edition of Steam Next Fest, with a playable demo available during that time.
Console and mobile players are probably wondering where news is regarding the release of those versions of the game – developer Team Jade says they will have an update on those fronts soon. Beyond all the aforementioned housekeeping, Delta Force also showed off a new gameplay trailer during Gamescom Opening Night Live, which you can check out below. I can’t wait to get my hands on this game.
