Takeda joins MK1 roster, divides access 3 ways

More On: Mortal Kombat 1

It's official. Takeda Takahashi returns to Mortal Kombat 1 as the final Season 1 character. He will come with Kameo assist Ferra (Of Ferra/Torr, MKX). In this universe, he is the cousin of Kenshi, and is with the Shirai Ryu. He keeps his serrated whips, and uses timed explosive Kunai. Of course, he also has the teleport of the Scorpoin/Smoke move set. Ferra wasn't shown in the video, but she will come with Takeda. But we think Liu Kang may have messed with the hourglass a little too much on this one.

Takeda will be available for early access players on July 23rd. Those are people who own the Kombat Pack. If you're going to EVO in Vegas this weekend, Takeda will be available to play there between July 19th-21st, specifically at the Mortal Kombat 1 booth at the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall. Everyone else won't see Takeda until July 30th. Ferra will be available as a standalone purchase, and will be available on the 23rd, regardless. There's a promise that Season 2 content will be revealed at San Diego Comic Con. So there's that. I have a feeling the newcomers will make me scream, but I'm hoping to just get some regular fighters. No more capes please and thank you.
