Developer Milestone has revealed post-launch content plans for its monster truck arcade racer Monster Jam Showdown, which releases August 29th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Players can look forward to jamming for eight months after the game launches, with a mixture of free and premium DLC to expand the experience.
Beginning soon after launch in September, the DLC pipeline opens with the Soldiers & Pirates premium DLC pack, followed by a free DLC in October, Grave Digger Legacy and free DLC in November, with a major expansion called Aloha rounding out the year. Aloha will add a new Hawaiian wilderness biome to the game alongside six new tracks, one arena, and an XP boost. Looking ahead to 2025, both premium and free DLC packs will continue to drop through March.
Once complete, the roster of trucks will total 66, from Monster Mutt Retro to Double Decker. The premium edition of the game will include the season pass, which of course will grant access to every DLC pack, as well as three days of early access to the game.
