Metal Slug is a popular run-and-gun series created back in SNK's Neo Geo era. Guns, explosions, hostages in underwear, and screen filling bosses was pure arcade quarter munching fun. Now the wizards behind Streets of Rage 4, and TMNT: Shredder's Revenge are getting geared up for a different direction for our Metal Slug heroes. The game has a release window for Fall, and it's a tactics turn based RPG called Metal Slug Tactics
Taking all four characters from the games, Marco, Eri, Fio, and Tarma, you will be building squads, arming your characters, and taking out the enemy. Win and move on! I haven't played a tactics game since Final Fantasy Tactics, so it'll be nice to get familiarized with the system. I wont have to wait long, because during Steam Next Fest, there will be a demo available for the game. Be sure to check it out, and get ready for the game to be available on practically everything this Fall.
