We’re just a few months away from the release of Monster Jam Showdown, and today developer Milestone has shared a new glimpse at gameplay, as well as some fresh new details for the Monster Truck racer. For starters, the Freestyle game mode is where players will whip up the signature big-wheel tricks that Monster Jam is partly known for, including wheelies and donuts. Freestyle events will take place in stadiums based on real-life venues, and you’ll also be able to master each trick with an in-depth tutorial mode. Monster Jam Showdown also features off-road races in locations based on the American wilderness, which include extreme weather events and destructible objects.
Finally, the Showdown Tour is a non-linear career mode where players can take part in eight different modes across three biomes based on Death Valley, Colorado, and Alaska. Monster Jam Showdown will also support both local and online multiplayer. It launches August 29th for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
