Swedish developer Stunlock Studios has announced that the PlayStation 5 version of open-world vampire survival game V Rising is launching on June 11th. Three editions are already available for pre-order on the PlayStation Store – the Standard Edition, Castlevania Edition, and Complete Edition for $39.99, $59.99, and $99.99, respectively. The Castlevania and Complete Editions include five days of early access, and a plethora of cosmetic packs for your vampire and castle.
If you’ve been in the shadows on V Rising, it is an open-world survival action RPG where you create your own vampire, engage in boss fights to increase your power, and build your own custom castle to hide from the sun. You can adventure solo or with other players in co-op – but be careful, not every player will be friendly, and may even choose to attack your vampiric stronghold.
Stunlock also revealed that they have been working directly with Sony to create an optimal user interface for PS5, in addition to support for the DualSense controller. Admittedly, I did not expect V Rising to hit PS5 so quickly after just launching 1.0 for PC on May 8th, but I certainly won’t complain. Check out the new PS5 announcement trailer below:
