I play a lot of farm sim/cozy-style games. I love to put on a podcast or an audiobook and just widdle my hours away creating a farming masterpiece. I always find myself at least checking out the trailer for any new title I come across, hoping to see something new or different enough to give that game a shot. Well, when it comes to Pathless Woods, I think I might have found a few items that strike my fancy. This one is inspired by China’s ancient heritage. You of course gather resources, cultivate crops, and defend you home from marauders. You can of course team up with friends in local or online co-op. I like what I can see in the trailer about building your dream home. Placing your home in a tree looks pretty cool. The art style also looks like it fits the cozy style pretty easily. I was really taken in by how watering crops looks. Different from anything else I’ve seen recently, it gives me some hope that there in some innovation here to explore.
