I admit to not being a Warhammer 40,000 fan; not because I don’t like it, I’ve just never tried to understand it. Still, it’s obvious from the number of video game releases set in that universe in recent years that it’s a massive franchise in scope and scale. Just on the horizon is a new game in the Warhammer-verse from developer Owlcat Games called Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, a proper CRPG that is launching December 7th for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Owlcat has shared a new trailer today demonstrating how deep Rogue Trader’s choice-based gameplay heavily affects the game, with every decision you make having consequences, both intended and unintended. In the new video, you can see how one conversation with Inquisitor Xavier Calcazar can set you down drastically different paths.
If you’re out of the loop, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader sees players assume the role of the titular Rogue Trader as they oversee their own trade protectorate across the Koronus Expanse region of Imperial Space. Check out the new trailer below:
