Atari has releases its reboot of classic Atari 2600 survival horror game Haunted House today on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Classified as the first-ever survival horror game, this reimagined version of Haunted House is a 3D isometric stealth adventure game with some roguelite elements.
You play as Lyn Graves, the niece of legendary treasure hunter Zachary Graves, who has mysteriously disappeared at his (haunted) estate. Lyn teams up with some of her pals to find out what happened to dear uncle Zachary, navigating through procedurally generated rooms, complete with shifting walls and enemy patterns. Stealth is a major emphasis in Haunted House, meaning that avoiding spectral entities is always your best bet for survival.
Atari has kept the game E-rated, so feel safe bringing the whole family along this spooky season without having to worry over blood, guts, or nightmare-inducing encounters. Check out the new launch trailer below:
