Update: The game has appeared on both Steam and the Playstation store. No word on Xbox yet.
Announced at the Nintendo Direct this morning, Lara Croft is returning in remasters of her first three adventures. Tomb Raider I-III Remastered will include the first three games, their expansion packs and secret levels with brand new remastered graphics and the ability to switch between the new and original PS One graphics at any time.
The original Tomb Raider was the first game that I got as a kid when I got my playstation. Let me tell you, young people these days don't realize the struggle. You had no map, no indicators or way points, you were completely on your own. I had no idea where to go or what to do as a kid but I still loved it and powered through to the end. Whatever the next Tomb Raider game might be, I really hope it's more like this and less like the reboot trilogy that wore out it's welcome to me in the second game.
Tomb Raider I-III Remastered launches on Nintendo Switch on February 14th 2024.
