The Delta Force series of military shooters is being revived at publisher Tencent and its TiMi Studio Group as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, a new tactical FPS coming to consoles, PC, and mobile, though no release date has been announced.
Delta Force: Hawk Ops will feature three game modes at launch – a campaign mode called Black Hawk Down, an extraction mode called Hazard Operations, and a large-scale PvP multiplayer mode called Havoc Warfare. The Black Hawk Down mode is a remaster of the original Delta Force: Black Hawk Down game, itself based off the Ridley Scott film of the same name. It explores the battle of Mogadishu and features the characters and their likenesses from the movie. Hazard Operations lets players squad up and battle other player-teams or AI enemies across a massive map in extraction-style gameplay. Havoc Warfare is essentially a riff on Battlefield 2042, featuring large team-based warfare on a massive map, complete with vehicle combat.
The game’s multiplayer modes strike me as a mix of Battlefield 2042 and the Ghost Recon: Future Soldier games. It looks promising! Check it out for yourself in a new trailer below, which includes some brief looks at gameplay:
