Beefy Pokemon Presents shares DLC, new shows, game updates, and release dates

More On: Pokemon Trading Card Game Pokemon GO! Pokemon Scarlet Pokemon Violet

This morning a beefy, 35-minute Pokemon Presents Showcase was released. While the presentation was long, not many new items were shown off. Instead, the showcase focused on the large amount of already announced or recently released projects, like Pokemon Sleep. Sleep is getting a special event to coincide with the upcoming full moon. Pokemon Sleep is something that I just do not understand the appeal of, I feel like an old man yelling at clouds when it comes to this title, but it’s probably a me issue.

My favorite news was for the newest mainline titles, Scarlet and Violet. An upcoming event called Get Mew and Mewtwo is exactly what you think. You can now enter the code getyourmew to receive a Mew. Starting on September 1, Mewtwo will begin to show up in raids, if you use your Mew to fight Mewtwo something special will happen. The showcase also talked about two upcoming Pokemon shows. A Pokemon web series and the already-announced Netflix series was shown, but little information was shared. Both look different from each other, something that I like.

There was other big news, like the first DLC for Scarlet and Violet, The Teal Mask, has a release date, Wednesday, September 13. Detective Pikachu Returns also has a release date, Friday, October 6. Pokemon Go Fest happening on August 26 and 27, Pokemon Unite getting new game modes. Gameboy Color Pokemon Trading Card Game and Pokemon Stadium 2 are coming to the Switch Online, and the expansion pack. You can watch the entire showcase below, or head over to the official YouTube channel.
