Third-person shooter multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) Paragon is making a comeback courtesy of Korean developer and publisher Netmarble. This revived version is known as PARAGON: The Overprime and it’s getting a closed PlayStation 5 beta test from September 13th though September 25th. Interested players can sign-up for a beta code at the game’s website, and it’s also available for wishlisting on the PlayStation Store at this very moment.
The beta will include two maps to try out – Agnis of Light and Red Moon – as well as Riktor, the newest hero. The PS5 version will take advantage of all the console’s features, including adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, 3D audio, and activity cards. It also comes with crossplay support with the PC version, which is already available on Steam and Epic Games Store.
Talk about a blast from the past; the original Paragon was my first taste of the MOBA genre back on PS4, and I’m looking forward to taking this revamped version for a spin as well. For more details and some glimpses of gameplay, check out the PS5 announcement video:
