As a kid, Saturday morning cartoons were a whole thing – Scooby Doo, The Jetsons, Looney Tunes, you name it. I even remember begging the family to record episodes of Scooby on VHS tapes so I could watch whenever I wanted. Here we are decades later and that classic Saturday morning cartoon art style is back in first-person roguelite adventure game MythForce, from developer Beamdog and publisher Aspyr. Today the two announced that it will launch on September 12th for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
In Mythforce, players fight across the constantly changing Cursed lands, a cartoon-inspired world full of dungeons to crawl with up to four friends in online co-op. You’ll combine melee weapons and magical spells to explore and fight through dungeons, growing more powerful with each run. This official 1.0 launch will include three story episodes, unlockable difficulty modes for a stiffer challenger, and drop-in/drop-out co-op functionality.
Check out the brand-new release date trailer below. I've got my eye on this one in September for sure.
