Following in the footsteps of its NBA Playgrounds games, today Saber Interactive announced Wild Card Football, the next installment in its arcade sports vertical. It launches October 10th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC and features a roster of hundreds of NFL stars, such as Patrick Mahomes, Joey Bosa, and Ja’Marr Chase.
Wild Card Football is a 7-on-7 football game with the flair of and visual style of those NBA Playgrounds titles. It will come with a variety of modes including a single-player Season mode, online multiplayer with cross-platform play, and local multiplayer. The Wild Card system is card-based system of power-ups and special abilities that allow you to break a big play to flip the momentum in your favor. These will allow you do things like summon a wall or make a player invisible. Of course, it wouldn’t be a worthwhile sports game without the ability to customize your squad. Wild Card Football let’s you personalize your logo, uniforms, stadium, playbook, and Wild Card deck to suit your playstyle.
