NEXON Games announced today that free-to-play 5v5 tactical shooter VEILED EXPERTS is heading to Steam Early Access on May 18th. Players who participated in the last closed beta will retain their usernames and event rewards, but all other info will get a hard reset. The game is on track for a full 1.0 release later this year on PC as well.
VEILED EXPERTS sees players engaging in an international conflict between governments, corporations, and terrorists over the control of an advanced microchip system called the Lepton System. Early access will include 10 playable agents, each with their own skills and abilities, as well as three games modes – bomb defusal, team deathmatch, and team deathmatch vs AI.
You can check out the latest trailer below. To me it appears to take some inspiration from Rainbow Six Siege and The Division – which is not a bad thing. I’ll be keeping an eye on this to see if it makes its way to consoles. NEXON has added preliminary controller support for early access, so that is certainly a promising sign.
