Developer Ascendant Studios has shared a new extended look at gameplay today from their upcoming magic first-person shooter Immortals of Aveum. The new trailer features six-minutes of some raw cuts of gameplay that includes our best glimpse yet at combat, enemies, environmental puzzles, and character customization.
If you missed it last week, Immortals of Aveum is a single-player FPS with a magical twist that follows Jak – a sort of special forces mage – as he joins the war for the control of magic in the world of Aveum. This new look at gameplay has me even more excited for the game, and the combat reminds me a bit of Ghostwire: Tokyo – a game I think is a tad underrated. Ascendant Studios also confirmed the game will be one of the first Unreal Engine 5.1 games released, meaning that it will leverage the ballyhooed Lumen dynamic lighting and Nanite polygon boost systems.
We don’t have to wait too much longer to blast some magic, as Immortals of Aveum is launching July 20th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
