Shovel Knight Dig's free Fate and Fortune DLC is now available. It adds a new quest called Knightmare Mode, a new friend in-game, unlockable mementos to show off, and a number of quality of life improvements to improve the Shovel Knight Dig experience. Knightmare Mode is stage based game meant to challenge players, adding modifiers that extend stages or beef up the bosses with extra hit points. Each modifer stacks from stage to stage ramping up the difficulty that much more. As for those quality of life improvements:
Seeds are now available in the Menu allowing players to set specific Seed (Note: PC version only)
Level design adjustments and additions
Can turn off auto-downthrust (Shovel Drop) in Menu
Camera “Look Up/Down” feature
Food/Enemies/Signs have been added to the compendium
Key order adjustment
Seen cut-scenes are now skippable
Food & Max HP balancing
Item improvements (based on player feedback)
Overall it looks like a great little addition to the game.
