The Neo Geo classic Puzzle Bobble, AKA Bust A Move, is making yet another comeback. ININ's, together with original creators Taito latest love letter of nostalgia comes in the form of Puzzle Bobble Everybubble, a brand new title for the Nintendo Switch. The game has a pretty simple premise. Launch colored bubbles and match them with other colors in the play field. Clear it, and you move onto the next stage. You can angle the bubble any way you wish up to 180 degrees, and even bounce it off walls if you're fancy. If you match 3 attached to a bunch of bubbles below it, they will drop too, and you get a bonus. The catch is, the more bubbles you pile up, or the more time you take, the stage drops, and if one bubble drops below the line, it's game over. I get addicted to these games, and I'm chomping at the bit for this one.
Bub and Bob comes with a couple of new features. The first is One-on-one VS online. And yes, you can even set up your own matches, or play in ranked mode. The other new mode is the Space Invaders crossover mode. This mode celebrates the 45th anniversary of Space Invaders, and is available for up to 4 players. You work as a team to clear the playing field, but instead of being able to angle it, you can only shoot straight up, as the bubbles move, you know, like Space Invaders.
The video below straight from Bub's broadcast Channel (Yes, they have their own Youtube) is available below, and if you want to play the originals, they are readily available on the Nintendo Eshop. Maybe I'll stream Puzzle Bobble 2. The game releases digitally on May 23rd or you can pre-order a physical copy at ININ Games
