Developer Anshar Studios has partnered with publisher Perp Games to bring its narrative-based, non-comb detective RPG Gamedec to PlayStation 5 in early 2023.
Slip into the shoes of a digital detective in 22nd century Warsaw, as you chase down criminals across a variety of virtual worlds. Choice is at the center of everything in Gamedec, with each of your decisions and conversations affecting the story in both the short and long-term. Anshar Studios wanted to harken back to pen-and-paper RPGs by allowing players the freedom to deal with situations and engage in conversation as they see fit.
This actually reminds of me titles like Wasteland and Disco Elysium, just in terms of how it revolves around player agency and forcing you to live with the consequences. I’ll be keeping a keen eye on this one when it rolls around for the PS5. Check out the new PS5 reveal trailer below:
