Atari has been on a roll lately. With the VCS, and the recharged series, plus the upcoming Atari Mania, the company is set for their new release Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration. For those who don't know, this game is the ultimate anthology. It will include classic console titles from the 2600, 5200, and 7800, (which I just discovered are just multiples of each other), Atari ST, Lynx and Jaguar, as well as reimagined titles. The compilation also contains never before seen footage and interviews from the people in video game history.
Now if you preorder this game, you also get a digital copy of the VERY DIFFICULT Gravitar: Recharged , a game that wrecked my soul, as Atari games do. There will be physical copies available as well. The game looks to be coming to all consoles and PC, and is headed by Digital Eclipse. There will be 90 games, so you'll get your fair share of history for only $40 USD. Stay tuned for a release date!
