PlayStation and Santa Monica Studio have delivered with more God of War Ragnarök information during today's State of Play showcase. We got a juicy 3 minute story and gameplay trailer hinting at some of the characters, monsters, and weapons Kratos and Atreus would be meeting, fighting, using in this highly anticipated sequel.
God of War Ragnarök is set three years after the events of the prequel. We see Kratos and now grown up son Atreus take on Thor and Freya while searching for the Norse god of war, Tyr. Their father and son dynamic will be ever changing as they prepare for war. Atreus must now grasp his prophecy of becoming "Loki" while Kratos must struggle to free himself from the past and be there for his son.
God of War Ragnarök is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 9, 2022. There will also be a limited edition God of War themed PlayStation 5 DualSense controller. It is "inspired by the Norse world of Midgard with its unique two-tone design of cool blue on icy white, embellished with bear and wolf insignia – representing Kratos and Atreus."
